Society - The fabled DES was the collection of three
Collegian Opinion Editors, past and then-present: Scott Shepard
(92-93), Paul Caputo (93-94), and Jeffrey Carl (94-95). Separately, our
columns were unfunny and offensive; but together, our columns were

Jeff and Paul -
Paul Caputo and I combined our talents (mainly mine, Paul was primarily
there for window dressing) to write columns of staggering importance,
cyclopean vision, and largely imperceptible hilarity during our Senior

Notes" Columns - Much like the writings which make up the Torah,
these columns are held in many cultures to represent a canon of the
funniest things ever written. However, most of those cultures are

What we Think -
During Senior year at UR, I wrote the paper's editorials, titled "What We
Think." This was spectacularly misleading, considering that almost no one
even in the newspaper staff "thought what I think." Oh well. [21 Stories]
